  • Mr. Farhan Shaukat – Chief Executive Officer

    Farhan Shaukat is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and brings over two decades of rich and diversified experience spanning accounting and finance, audit, systems development, business-process re-engineering, portfolio management, product development and sales.

    He joined the Pak-Qatar Group in 2008 and, prior to that, held key roles with the Master Group, Deloitte and Hameed Chaudhri & Co. Chartered Accountants. In his current capacity as Chief Executive Officer of Pak-Qatar Asset Management Company Limited, he leads the company’s strategic vision, fund-management operations and investor-engagement efforts.

    His prior assignment as Head of Investment & Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited provided him with deep insights into investment strategy, operational governance and product innovation within the financial-services sector.


  • Mr. Meraj Uddin Mazhar – Chief Investment Officer

    Mr. Meraj Uddin Mazhar is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) with over a decade of experience in investment and risk-management roles. In his career, he has held major responsibilities within the Pak-Qatar Group, overseeing sizeable investment portfolios and helping shape strategic asset-allocation decisions across both equity and fixed-income instruments.

    As Chief Investment Officer at Pak-Qatar Asset Management Company Limited, Mr. Meraj Uddin Mazhar leads the firm’s investment function, setting the strategic direction for the company’s collective investment schemes and discretionary portfolios. He is accountable for aligning investment strategy with clients’ objectives, maintaining disciplined risk-adjusted returns, and upholding the group’s Shariah-compliant investment philosophy.


  • Mr. Asif Anwar – Director Investment Advisory

    A CFA finalist having more than 23 years of rich experience in dealing in the equity market, including over 5 years of association with Pak-Qatar Group.

    Mr. Anwar, in heading the Investment Advisory side, is responsible for the smooth functioning of the Investment Advisory Agreements, ensuring compliance with the stated terms and conditions including the prescribed investment parameters and the benchmark investment returns.


  • Mr. Umair Karim – CFO & Company Secretary

    Mr. Umair Karim is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), UK, and holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. He has been with the Pak-Qatar Group since the beginning of his career in 2009, accumulating a rich and diverse experience in finance and accounts.

    As CFO & Company Secretary at PQAMCL, Mr. Umair Karim is fully equipped to oversee the company’s financial management, reporting, and governance functions, ensuring robust control environments and effective corporate secretarial practices. His longstanding tenure with the Group positions him as a trusted leader in guiding the company’s financial strategy and operational integrity.


  • Mr. Farhan Javaid – Head of Research

    Mr. Muhammad Farhan Javaid is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) with over twelve years of experience in investment research and portfolio management. He has spent more than seven years with the Pak-Qatar Group, serving as Fund Manager at Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited.

    His professional exposure spans multiple dimensions of investment management, including product analysis, risk assessment, and evaluation of business and economic trends to assess risk–return profiles and support data-driven investment decisions. Mr. Javaid has played a pivotal role in developing the research function at Pak-Qatar Asset Management Company Limited (PQAMCL), where he applied analytical insight to enhance portfolio yields and optimize asset allocation strategies.


  • Mr. Ammar Tariq Zuberi – Head of Investor Services

    Mr. Ammar Tariq Zuberi holds a graduate degree from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and a post-graduate degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA). He brings substantial experience in customer service and investor relations. He has been with the Pak-Qatar Group for more than 10 years, during which he has developed a strong command of investor needs, client servicing systems, and operational workflows within a financial or asset-management environment.

    In his capacity as Head of Investor Services at PQAMCL, Mr. Ammar oversees the end-to-end delivery of all investor-facing services. He ensures that unit-holders are supported with prompt, high-quality responses and that all service workflows—from enquiry handling to transaction processing—adhere to the firm’s standards of transparency, responsiveness, and client-centric governance.


  • Mr. Muhammad Ummair – Head of Operations

    Mr. Ummair, with over 12 years of experience, specializes in back-office operations including supervising the investment/divestment, order placements, and their treatment in the Accounting Systems.

    As Head of Operations at PQAMCL, Mr. Ummair is responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of the back-office operations, critical to any investment function’s objective of attaining leadership in the market and Superior Customer Services.


  • Mr. Kamran Ali Khan – Head of Human Resources & Training

    Mr. Kamran Ali Khan is a seasoned HR and business leader with over 24 years of diversified experience spanning Human Resources, Learning & Development, Customer Experience, Sales, and Quality Assurance. As the Head of HR & Training at Pak-Qatar Family Takaful, he leads the HR and Training functions with a strategic focus. Under his leadership, the organization continues to strengthen its people-centric culture while embracing digital transformation and sustainable growth. Throughout his career, Mr. Khan has been recognized for his ability to align people strategies with business objectives, build high-performing teams, and drive large-scale transformation initiatives. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing organizational capability and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

    Prior to joining Pak-Qatar, he held senior business roles at prominent organizations including K-Electric, wi-tribe, and Mobilink, where he played a pivotal role in shaping human capital strategies and elevating customer-centric practices.

    Mr. Khan holds an MBA along with a Postgraduation in Human Resource Management. He is also a Certified Licensed Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a Certified Life Coach, Certified Trainer, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified HCM Analyst, and Certified E-Learning Designer. These credentials reflect his commitment to personal and professional excellence.

    Known for his visionary leadership, Mr. Kamran Ali Khan continues to champion initiatives that empower people, enhance organizational capability, and position HR as a strategic enabler of business success.


  • Mufti Junaid Ahmed Khan – Head of Shariah Compliance

    He is a qualified Shariah professional with a strong background in Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic finance. He completed Dars-e-Nizami in 2012 and specialized in Islamic Jurisprudence (Takhassus fil Ifta) from Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi in 2015. He is also a Certified Shari’ah Adviser and Auditor (CSAA) from AAOIFI and holds an MS in Islamic Banking & Finance from IBA Karachi (2024).

    Since 2017, he has been associated with the Pak-Qatar Group, contributing to the development and implementation of Shariah-compliant solutions. With his unique blend of traditional Islamic scholarship and modern financial acumen, he brings deep insight, integrity, and practical understanding to the field of Islamic finance.


  • Mr. Saifuddin Shaikh – Head of Administration & Procurement

    Mr. Saifuddin Shaikh has been leading the Administration & Procurement function at Pak-Qatar Group since its inception in 2007. As the company’s first employee and a founding member, he played a vital role in establishing the Head Office and branch network across Pakistan. His responsibilities span general administration, procurement, project office oversight, and support operations for all entities of Pak-Qatar Group.

    With over three decades of professional experience, Mr. Saifuddin Shaikh brings expertise in administration, IT support, and HR management. He previously headed the Information Technology & Systems department and has held leadership roles in the tech and services sectors. He is a Law Graduate from University of Karachi, a postgraduate diploma in Islamic Banking & Finance, and an Associate Engineering Diploma in Electronics Technology.


  • Mr. Muhammad Shoaib Akhtar – Chief Strategy Officer

    Mr. Muhammad Shoaib Akhter is a Chartered Accountant with more than 18 years of experience in local and multinational organizations, including Ernst & Young (EY), Price waterhouse Coopers (PwC), Pak-Qatar Group (Islamic Financial Services), Hino, and Inbox. He has worked in various functions, e.g., Assurance & Advisory (EY), Taxation (PwC), Internal Audit (Inbox, Hino, Pak Qatar), Corporate Governance, Risk, Operations, & Strategy (Pak Qatar).

    Alongside CA, he is a recipient of a Gold Medal in Executive MBA from the IBA (2023). He is also a Certified Director (PICG), Certified Fraud Examiner, and ISO Lead Auditor.

    During his career, Shoaib worked in diverse industries (Takaful, AMC, Construction, Automotive, IT, Sugar, Pharma, Logistics, Shipping, Financial Services, etc) in Pakistan, UAE & KSA.

    He is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Pak Qatar Group, and overseeing Strategic Management, Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, and Performance Management.


  • Mr. Bilal Rashid – Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications

    Mr. Bilal Rashid has over two decades of diverse experience in Marketing & Corporate Communications with various organizations such as IGI Life, Telenor, GEO TV, Lakson Tobacco, etc. He is a thorough marketing professional with a demonstrated history of project delivery. He possesses strong competencies in corporate communications, conventional & digital marketing, business planning, brand activation, advertising, and market analysis. Mr. Bilal has an MBA Degree in Marketing along with multiple related certifications.


  • Mr. Obaid Hussain Qureshi – Head of Legal, Compliance & Grievance

    Mr. Obaid Hussain Qureshi has over two decades of diverse experience in Legal & Compliance with various organizations such as K-Electric, Standard Chartered District & Session Court Karachi, etc. He possesses strong competencies in Legal drafting, Compliance, Accounting management, Paralegal Work, Litigation (Civil, Criminal, and Family), Risk management, Arbitration, Commercial Banking, Best Sales & Services, Anti-Money Laundering. Mr. Obaid has done Bachelor of Laws – LLB from the University of Karachi along with multiple related certifications.


  • Mr. Kashan Rafiq – Head of Information Technology & Systems

    With over two decades of experience in IT leadership, Mr. Kashan Rafique Ahmed currently serves as Head of Information Technology & Systems at Pak-Qatar Group. He has played a pivotal role in driving technology transformation across the insurance, Takaful, and software development sectors. His expertise spans core system implementations, enterprise cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud-based solutions—delivering measurable value, improved efficiency, and operational excellence. Under his leadership, the organization has successfully executed digital strategies including SAP integration, advanced analytics, and mobile/web portals.

    Beginning his career in software development with a strong foundation in Oracle technologies, Mr. Kashan Rafique Ahmed held key technical and leadership roles at Pak-Kuwait Takaful, FOURGEN Information System, Orbit Soft and I-Soft Pvt Ltd. His deep domain knowledge in General, Family, and Health Takaful, combined with hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, AML systems, and partner integrations, positions him as a strategic IT leader. He holds multiple Oracle certifications, including Cloud Infrastructure and Enterprise Analytics, and applies industry best practices such as Agile and ITIL to lead high-impact initiatives.


  • Mr. Muhammad Asif Anwar

    Mr. Muhammad Asif Anwar is a seasoned investment professional with over 25 years of experience in Pakistan’s capital markets, including a distinguished tenure with the Pak-Qatar Group. His expertise spans equity research, investment advisory, portfolio construction, and execution, with a proven record of delivering superior risk-adjusted returns and strategic financial solutions.

    As Director, Investment Advisory at Pak-Qatar Asset Management Company Limited, Mr. Asif leads the investment advisory function, overseeing the formulation, execution, and management of client investment mandates. He ensures strict adherence to investment parameters, performance benchmarks, and regulatory requirements, aligning portfolio strategies with client objectives and institutional governance standards.

    He brings strategic leadership, analytical rigor, and deep market insight to his role, combining technical expertise with a practical understanding of market dynamics. Under his stewardship, portfolio performance has been consistently remarkable, exceeding all prescribed benchmarks and reinforcing the company’s reputation for excellence in investment management.

    Mr. Junaid Ahmed Khan is a seasoned Shariah professional blending deep traditional scholarship and modern finance. He completed the Dars-e-Nizami in 2012 and pursued a specialization in Islamic jurisprudence (Takhassus fil Ifta) from Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi in 2015. He further holds the Certified Shari’ah Adviser & Auditor (CSAA) credential from Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) and earned an MS in Islamic Banking & Finance from Institute of Business Administration Karachi (2024).

    Since joining the Pak-Qatar Group in 2017, Mr. Junaid Ahmed Khan has been instrumental in shaping and implementing Shariah-compliant investment solutions. In his current role as Head of Shariah Compliance at PQAMCL, he leads the firm’s Shariah oversight function—ensuring that investment strategies, products, and operations adhere to Islamic finance principles, while aligning with investor interests and institutional standards.
